Instead of guiding ships to safety, the light house was often the cause of mishaps, since it was often concealed by clouds as it sits too high above the sea level. In 1911, a new light house was built and remains one of most powerful lighthouses on Southern African coast.

Be on the lookout of baboons, you may spot them on this tour. Make sure, all vehicle doors and windows are properly closed and locked. Baboon are always looking on what to grab from vehicles and you never know what they will grab.
