The mountainous Western Cape Province extends from the Cape of God Hope on the south-western tip of Africa 400km north and 500km East. It is South Africa’s fourth largest province. It is bounded by the Northern cape and the Eastern Cape.
The Western Cape is home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela spent 18 years of his 27 years imprisonment and the Cape Flora kingdom.
North of Cape Town, the West Coast incorporates the west Coast National Park, well known for birds and spring flowers ( in late August and September), and the West Coast Fossil Paarl in Langebaan. Along the province’s eastern coastline lies the Garden Route, one of the country’s most popular route, which stretches from cape Town to Port Elizabeth.

Some facts about the Western Cape Province

Cape Town is the provincial capital and is affectionally called the Mother City. Little Karroo, about 480km East of cape town in the town of Oudsthoorn, boast the World’s largest Ostrich population.

Cape Point Tour
Cape of Good Hope lies at the tip of Cape Point, which is natural reserve within the table Mountain National park. Visit the Cape Point and see where the Portuguese Bartomeu Dias, who first names it “the Cape of Storms”, first sailed around the cape. Discover the legend of flying Dutchman Ghost ship, and take the three minutes flying Dutchman funicular railway up a steep slope to the 1859 lighthouse at the top. The lighthouse is located 87 meters above the sea level.

Township Tour
Langa, means sun in Isixhosa, but name the derives from Langalibalele, a Xhosa Chief whos was imprisoned on Roben Island in 1873 for rebelling against the Natal government. Langa was officially established in 1927 in terms of the 1923 Urban Area Act and is one of the oldest townships in South Africa. It was a focal area for much of the resistance against the apartheid government and as such has a rich – if often turbulent – history. It is well known for its cultural offerings, its warmth and sense of community and wide array of offerings available to visitors.
Shark Cage Tour
